5 mistakes Latino businesses make on social media

Having Instagram or Facebook is not the same as having a social media strategy. After managing more than 600 projects, these are the most common mistakes we see in Latino businesses and entrepreneurs — and how to fix them.

1. Posting without a content plan

Posting "when there is time" or "when they remember" is the number one reason a business's social media does not grow. The algorithm rewards consistency, not perfection. It is better to post 3 times a week steadily than 10 times in one month and then disappear for two months.

2. Selling all the time

If every post is "buy now", "special offer", "call now" — the audience stops paying attention. The rule we use with our clients is: for every sales post, two posts that add value, entertain or connect emotionally.

3. Not answering messages or comments on time

A potential customer who writes and gets no reply in minutes or hours simply goes to the competition. Social media today is also a customer service channel, not just advertising.

4. Using only photos, with no video

Reels and video content have much more organic reach than static photos on most platforms today. Businesses that only post photos are leaving free reach on the table.

5. Not measuring results

Many businesses do not check their metrics — or even know which post generated the most real customers. Without measuring, it is impossible to improve. Every month you should ask yourself: what worked, what did not, what are we going to adjust?

Is your business making any of these mistakes?

You are not alone — it is more common than it seems. If you want a professional team to manage your social media with real strategy, not just pretty posts, let's talk.
