How to choose the right agency for your church or business
All articlesHiring the wrong agency costs you time, money and, often, the trust of your community or customers. Before signing with any marketing agency, ask yourself these questions.
1. Do they have real experience with businesses or churches like yours?
Managing the social media of a clothing brand is not the same as for a church or a family restaurant. Ask to see real examples of projects similar to yours — not just a generic portfolio.
2. Do they clearly explain what each plan includes?
If the agency cannot tell you exactly how many graphics, reels or deliverables you will receive each month, that is a red flag. Clarity about what is delivered avoids misunderstandings later.
3. Do they have transparent pricing, or is everything a "custom quote" with no reference point?
A starting price range (even if the final project varies) is a sign of an organized agency. Total ambiguity in pricing often hides a lack of internal structure.
4. How do they measure and report results?
Ask whether you will receive monthly reports, how often and which metrics they include. A serious agency does not just "post content" — it shows you what is working.
5. What happens if you need to cancel or make changes?
Review the contract terms: minimum term, cancellation policy, revision limits. This spares you unpleasant surprises later.
6. Do they understand your community?
If your business or church mainly serves a Latino or faith community, it is a huge advantage to work with an agency that understands that language, those values and that way of communicating — not a generic agency that treats your project like any other.
At Mente Nueva Marketing we have worked exclusively with Latino churches, ministries and businesses in the United States since 2007. We know your community's specific needs because it is the community we work with every day.
